Disaster Stuffed Chicken Boobs

It’s been a minute since Feaston has screwed something up really bad. I was on the fence about whether we should classify this as a disaster at first, but looking back, I now think it falls squarely into the SUCK category.

I mean, this seemed like a GREAT idea at the time. Stuffed chicken breasts. They have them in the case at Wegmans. If they sell them to the general public, how hard could they be to make?

Find out how hard after the jump.

But look how pretty.

Disaster French Toast

Internet, I have done it again. Only this time I screwed up something that should be fairly simple: French Toast.

It’s funny, too, because I’ve always liked the French, so I don’t know why they would want to curse my breakfast.

No one would have ever have known by looking at my meal that it sucked.

It looks delicious. But it tastes not so.

Food, Glorious Food!

It has been a big week for food in the news — from Michelle Obama’s vegetable garden to numerous New York Times stories on the difference between organic and sustainable farming and a new outlook on American diets.

The thing is — most people are more apt to believe that something labeled organic is better for them, when in reality it is not. Instead of focusing on pesticides and the government’s role in the food chain, most of us would be better off if we just ate fewer animal products and processed foods and started eating more local fruits and vegetables. Oh … also, it’s a good idea to learn to cook at home.

Hey, we’re happy to help with that!

Disaster Turkey Legs

These were supposed to be a delicious meal. I mean, the concept sounded great: We would have a medieval feast, eating meat off the bone and such.

Well, it turns out the turkey legs I bought at the store were ass and we didn’t really know how long to cook them.

Needless to say, we both ended up eating PB&Js. It’s turning into a Feaston tradition!

The Risotto Disaster

Oh hey, it’s time for everybody’s favorite post, the one where Michelle royally screws something up in the kitchen.

Except, I don’t think you can blame this one on me. I did everything I knew how to do. There were larger forces at work. Forces like a semi-buzzed boyfriend who did not realize the risotto was falling apart. A recipe that was not detailed and did not take taste into consideration. Also, this weird thing I have about food needing to be super fresh!

In the end, this dish wasn’t so bad that it would be considered terrible. At least one of us ate it. But seeing as my dinner ended up being a totally awesome peanut butter and jelly sandwich, I think it still qualifies as a disaster.

Let me walk you through it.

Hey, it tasted fine to me.
