And Now for Something a Little Different

Hey there, Feaston fans! Care to help a blog (and local farmers market)? It takes 30 seconds and is totally, completely painless.

It’s summertime and that means two things:   There are loads of delicious farm fresh produce available at  farmers market every week (I mean, just look at what we’ve found and created here and here and here) and American Farmland Trust’s America’s Favorite Farmers Markets™ contest has kicked into gear and Easton Farmers Market need your votes to win!

The process is simple.  To vote , all you have to do is:

1.)    Go to www.farmland.org/vote

2.)    Type in Easton Farmers Market (you want the one in PA); and,

3.)    Click “Vote”

That’s it. That’s all it takes to bring Easton Farmers Market one step closer to being America’s favorite farmers market! Only one vote per email address, please.

The purpose of this contest is to re-connect local consumers to local farms, with the ultimate goal of keeping our nation’s farm and ranch land productive and healthy! As you know, we here at Feaston have made an effort to get more of our food locally, and the result is not only that we’ve met some really great people and enjoyed fresh, tasty food, but we’ve gotten to know even more about where our food comes from and how important it is to protect our farm land.

Buying at the farmers market keeps money in the local community and helps farms and ranches remain economically viable. By voting, you’re helping support farms and communities across the nation. So go on! What are you waiting for?
